H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti welcomed Environment CS Hon. Dr. Deborah Barasa and the FLLoCA task team to her office for a review of Machakos County’s climate-resilient agricultural initiatives.
The visit highlighted projects funded through FLLoCA, focusing on strengthening farmers along the value chain while addressing climate change challenges. Key interventions showcased included efforts to enhance livelihoods, promote environmental conservation, and improve agricultural productivity.
The team commended progress along Miu River and other river systems across the county, noting how these initiatives are enabling farmers to adapt to climate change and build sustainable, climate-smart farming practices.
